WITH THE ADVENT OF DCS AND IRCDDB WITH DTMF THE NEED FOR ICF FILES IS FAIRLY LIMITED AS ALL D-STAR CONNECTING CAN BE DONE VIA THIS FUNCTION SEE DTMF Linking for more details on the coding required.

ICF Files are limited in that they are only required to have a single repeater memory stored for each of the repeaters required for the users areas of operating, all the rest is undertaken by the use of DTMF codes. Any system still using the D-plus network still requires the full linking protocols of the memory methods.
None of ours in the South Wales area use D-plus any more so DTMF is the method of linking, the codes for each are shown in the group lists for each of the listed DCS modules at www.xreflector.net/neu3/   Old D-plus links are accessed from our systems by keying up and using DTMF Codes  a star (*) followed by the reflector number for example *1C for reflector 1C or *30C for reflector 30C. A Zero (0) interrogates the system to see where it's linked A Hash (#) unlinks though it is not required to unlink between moving, just dial up the required link and it will automatically unlink and pick up the new choice in the Software. Hope this helps.
