Successful Tracking with D-rats
I took part in the cancer research cycle ride with RAYNET recently with the role of tail ending the cycle ride around Cardiff.
I set my ic-e2820 to beacon GPS on a simplex frequency every thirty seconds and apart from a small section of the route, was successfully tracked for the duration of the ride.
It certainly made it easier for the organisers to assess where the final riders were and to stand down watering holes and stewards en-route.
